Before you start thinking I’m one of those people that starts a blog, posts a few, then loses interest—I’m here to say I’m not. It’s just been an extremely busy week and a half. The highlight of which was being able to attend the American Dietetic Association’s Annual Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo.
In addition to some fantasitic educational sessions on the latest research on so many different nutrition topics (which I’ll be sharing in the weeks to come) the Expo part of the meeting is filled with hundreds of booths from a variety of food and other types of companies–you can see just a bit of it in the photo on the right. Each sharing and telling us all about their latest and greatest foods or beverages. (again, more of what I’ll be sharing over the next several weeks)
So you have so much to look forward to in the coming weeks, but for now, know that I’m still here and I’ll share a bit of the fun from the expo with you.
I was also able to talk about my favorite grape juice memory for the folks at Welch’s. Check it out: http://www.welchs.com/healthprofessionals/fnce-videos
For me the meeting began by attending a book launch party. I was honored to be invited to the event celebrating the release of the follow up book to one of my fav cookbooks. The new book called No Whine with Dinner, is by registered dietitians Liz Weiss and Janice Newell Bissex. And, one more time, I’ll be talking more about this book soon. But you can check it out a bit for yourself at http://mealmakeovermoms.com/.
But for now it’s back to playing catch up from being away from the desk for far too long. Look forward to alot of great new info to come soon. What nutrition topic would you like to read more about?
